Ericsson predicts 5G subscribers to reach 2.8 billion in 2025

Ericsson estimates that the number of 5G subscribers worldwide will reach 190 million by the end of 2020. The number is predicted to increase to 2.8 billion by 2025.

In Southeast Asia and Oceania region, 5G is estimated to cover 21 percent of cellular subscribers by 2025. This was revealed by the Swedish telecommunications company in its annual report, Ericsson Mobility Report, June 2020 edition.
