The system also lets guardians switch the teen’s account between private and public modes, aiming to create a safer browsing environment.
To reach these controls, users open TikTok, tap the Search icon, and type “#ThinkTwice.” The resulting banner leads to a Digital Check‑In Hub where privacy settings, content filters, and watch‑time limits can be reviewed.
In the “Time and Well‑Being” section, the app provides detailed usage statistics and prompts users to take breaks. A “Today I Am” widget supplies daily affirmations based on the user’s mood, a move intended to reduce endless scrolling.
